

From the days in his youth when he first began training, Ninomiya wanted to bring the spirit and technique of real karate to this country.

Long before Kancho Ninomiya arrived in the United States in 1974, he had a dream. He currently practices full-time as a physical therapist in addition to teaching Enshin Karate and cross-training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. During this time he was able to train directly with Kancho Joko Ninomiya and the rest of the Ninomiya family and compete at both the regional and international levels.įollowing completion of his doctorate program and residency in orthopedics, he settled in Redlands, CA and found himself driven to share the benefits he gained through Enshin Karate to the region he was raised in. Following experiences in Muay Thai and Dutch-style Kickboxing, he found a home at the Enshin Karate Headquarters and fell in love with the blend of hard training, practical and efficient technique, and emphasis on traditional martial arts values and personal development. After moving to Denver, Colorado to pursue his Doctorate in Physical Therapy, he found himself wanting to get back into martial arts.
